17. What is TDS?
TDS refers to total organic and inorganic substance resolved in water among which inorganic salt includes Ca+, Mg+,K+,Hco3-etc.
The principle of softening by resin is : resin carrry Na+ H+ it self then it exchange with Ca+Mg+ so when softening finished TDS won't have evident change. After softening resin absorbed Ca+,Mg but Na+ move into water on the other hand there still other minieral salt in water which can't removed by softening so TDS valve won't change evidently.
